    Conservative Politics and Tea, Anyone?

Protection of our freedom and liberty, supporting and promoting conservative values and philosophy, positive influence through civic action, and a genuine interest in our country’s political state of affairs is common amongst home educators.

If this describes you, and you’d be interested in joining an online group for conservative women, I invite you to the following group:

    Smart Girl Politics… A Conservative Women’s Movement

SGP is a grassroots organization that promotes the opinions and principles of conservative women. It is not affiliated with any political party and you do not need to be affiliated with a particular political party to join.

Smart Girl Politics is committed to providing a conservative community for women to express their opinions and ideas in an open and welcoming environment.

It’s an excellent site for finding and sharing information and ways to become politically active regarding the issues that concern you most.

The SGP site also offers state, regional, and special interest groups for conservative grassroots networking, including a group for home educators.

The Tax Day Tea Party is a national collaborative grassroots effort and Smart Girl Politics is one of the groups involved in organizing events across the country on April 15th.

I hope you’ll consider joining Smart Girl Politics!

    Check it out here…

I love tea but don’t like politics. Tea and *poetry* is so much more calming and edifying. 😉 I’m teasing you. Have fun with it!

I’m a fanatic for the L-rd, a fanatic about homeschooling and definitely a fanatic about politics! In fact, lately I’m surprised I still a screen that hasn’t has something thrown at it! It’s so bad, my son (who’s 8)said he wants to be a Congressman or the President so he can get rid of the income tax!

There are few other women like me and I’ve been told I’m a little intense. Between Neil Boortz, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly and Mike Huckabee I get the info! That doesn’t count the info. I receive concerning Israel. Thank G-d, Netanyahu is there to counteract and withstand the Obama Administration, as well as the rest of the world. We must pray for his discernemt and strength; he is friendly to Christians and Messianic Jews like our family.

Oh Yeah, and I’ll be sending my son to the Camp for Kids run by Ted Nugent between ages 9-15; teaching survival skills. He runs two; in Michigan and Ohio.

I’ve been sending so many emails to my representatives on a variety of issues, they’re eventually going to know my address by heart

I am interested in going to one of these tea parties ( a legitimate one), so thank you for sending this out. I hope one gets organized further north of Atlanta.

Maybe I need a flag on my property flying “Don’t Tread on Me”…??

Right now I’m reading David McCullough’s 1776 and just finished his bio of John Adams; highly recommend. He is one of our founders that is overshadowed by Washington, Franklin and Jefferson. In fact, I picked up “The Revolutionary Writings of John Adams” from Liberty Fund books; it’s a amazing his influence on our (original) form of gov’t) and how much was incorporated. McCullough’s bio will inspire you! Adams had the love of Liberty and personal responsibility. He also understood the place of G-d in our freedom.

If you don’t think you can read it, then get the audio.

Next is reading The 5000 Year Leap (http://www.xmission.com/~nccs/ at Center for Constitutional Studies)and a bio or autobio(found on Dover cheaply) on either Jefferson or Washington.

Nice chatting (or rambling in my case),
