This is not for me, but a friend with 2 high school boys. She’s looking for computer skills books, curriculum or websites. We have the Motherboard Books site already. She’s looking seriously in to those, but are there any other options? 1 is interested in the hardware aspect, the other in software (ie. designing websites, etc.).

I thought we had a thread about this, but I couldn’t find it. Sorry if this is a repeat.

Any help would be appreciated. She would have posted herself, but her skills are very minimal. She’s not wanting her boys to be that way, too 😀 !

    Thanks, Tonni

For hardware I would recommend any books on getting A+ Certified. These are full of a wealth of information on the hardware aspect of computers.

For web design check out http://www.w3schools.com for lots of free online studies.

Let me know if you need more information and ideas.
