I’m still working through how to make this work the best for our family.  I’m wondering how others might handle this.  Let’s say I have a random extra quick read or perhaps a news article read or something like that and it goes with one of our subjects, say Psychology.  How can that be added in?  Or let’s say an impromptu field trip?  Or any other random “school” that might come up?

    Thanks,

There are a couple things you can do to make non-scheduled or random events work with the CM Organizer.

    1. For something that you want to have available to mark off any time, you can add it to your schedule for either every day, or for a day that you don’t normally do school work.

    – If you add it to the schedule for every day, it will show up on your Daily Plan with your normal assignments until you mark it off.

    – If you put it on a day that you don’t normally do school work, the assignment won’t show in your regular Daily Plan, but you can still access it at the bottom of the Daily Plan by clicking Show Assignments not originally scheduled for today….

    2. For something like an impromptu field trip, you can add it to your schedule for today and use the backdating feature to mark it off for whichever day you actually took the trip.
