I already own Homeschool Tracker, so I was wondering what the major differences are between the features of these two. I realize that CMO is web based, but I’m talking more about other stuff.

I haven’t downloaded the trial of CMO, because I’m still going through Planning your CM education.

    Thanks,

Have you had a chance to watch the videos about CMO? They are short and very helpful, you don’t have to start your free trial to check them out and you’ll get all the features figured out by watching the videos. Also, for your free trial, you don’t have to download anything or even give a credit card number (Kudos for that – love that it’s TRULY a free trial and not a trick that gives you your first month free and then signs you up automatically unless you cancel). But I really suggest the videos as you’ll learn so much from them. I loved the idea and sent to my hubby and he was on board after watching only one (I forget which). I watched them all – I also LOVE that they are so open to suggestions and constantly adding more features – gives me confidence that this is something I’ll use for many years to come.

I have used HST for about 4 years now but am also considering moving over to CMO. I actually used CMO when it was first released but I was so used to HST that I didnt want to move at the time. But, now I am finding that HST is becoming more of a burden when we do not get things done that are listed on our schedule for that day.

The main difference with the CM Organizer compared to almost any other planner is that it’s designed specifically for CM-style homeschooling. That means it doesn’t try force you into an attendance, grades, and fixed schedule model. It’s all handled in a more gentle and flexible “what’s next” approach.

By the way, here’s the link to the page with all of the demo videos: http://simplycharlottemason.com/planning/cm-organizer/tour/
