Hello
I’m new to the HE front, I was wondering if there was a living books list for the UK HE’rs.
Thanks
Sonya ShaferModeratorHi, Hazel –
Welcome to home education! Are you looking for living books on British history, specifically? Here are some that popped up in the CM Bookfinder that were submitted by various CMers. Maybe that will get you started.
lettucepatchkidsParticipantWhile I don’t live in the UK I have recently been reading a blog and listening to a periscope of a UK Charlotte Mason home educator, Leah Boden. Just do a search for her blog, she is also fairly active on Instagram.
I know she has mentioned there is a UK CM Facebook group, but I don’t recall the name…
lettucepatchkidsParticipantHer site is leahboden <dot> com
RobinPParticipantThese folks left a comment on my blog telling me about their living history series for iPad. They are British and are focusing on European historical figures right now. That’s all I know but you can check them out here.
HazelParticipantThanks got a few ordered from the library.
HazelParticipantThanks have read and subscribed to the blog.
KatkaParticipantHi,
I discovered SCM yesterday and I am so excited!!! I have finally found a ‘curriculum’ that makes sense. I am based in the UK and I have a 5 year old who we are pulling out of school, a 2 year old and a newborn. 5 year old Samuel started to read, write and do some maths, science etc… I was wondering if I should now put hm in US grade 1?
Also, I was wondering if SCM grammar is US strictly or do you have UK resources also?
I may not understand this fully, but Samuel will be out of school from January 2019 and so I have less than a month to figure out what we’re going to do.
Thank you!
