Some of you have asked me over the years about the creative-writing forum that my girls were part of. As it is a private forum with a limited number of spots, I rarely give out the details. But my oldest daughter has informed me that they are now taking new members. So here is more information for those of you who are interested. They are not exclusively Christian, but they are dedicated to keeping the forum safe and a “clean, well-lighted place” that will be appropriate for young writers.

CleanPlace is a privately owned writer’s forum dedicated to helping young writers grow in their abilities. We provide special mentors for each writer, create a safe place to explore new styles and stories, and offer high-quality feedback.

We’re looking for any young writers – ages 14 to 18 – who might be wanting a safe place to hang out, interact with other writers on all skill levels, and get personalized feedback from quality mentors.

When you join, your assigned mentor works with you to pick some writing skills to focus on, and a single work-in-progress to expand on during the year. But, there’s plenty of room for posting other projects and stories to get other writer’s thoughts and opinions. It’s every writer’s dream. From member libraries of longer stories to short, weekly contests, CleanPlace offers dozens of opportunities.

CleanPlace writers range from 14 age to 22 age, and their writing preferences range from fantasy, sci/fi, contemporary, and even the illusive “other” category.

If you are interested, PM me for contact information.

Your PM box seems to be full. 🙁

My daughter, who turned 18 in July, continues to pursue her writing (currently on book 1 of a trilogy as well as submitting short stories to magazines) and could really use this. Would it be too late for her to be involved?

Oops! Okay, I just tried to clean out my PM box. Hopefully, I did it correctly. Undecided

I’d say contact the admin of CleanPlace and see what she says. I’ll PM you with the details.
