Hi, I recently decided that I would like to homeschool my children.  I am very excited about the Charlotte Mason method and would like to start right away, but I am not sure if it is a good idea to pull my kids out of school at this point in the year.  They are in grade 2, 3 and 6.  I would like to get them as much of the early years in the CM method as possible, but is it too difficult to finish off the current year now since the CM curriculums are based on a year?

Also, I live in Canada, how hard is it to adapt this curriculum to Canadian (most likely specifically to some history and a little bit of spelling/grammar)?

Thanks for the help!!  Excited to get starting on this great learning adventure!

You don’t have to finish the book this school year. Just finish what you can and continue it next year or go to year round schooling, lots of option.

With history I think you could probably find some living books that include Canadian history that you could substitute for some of the American history. I’m sure there are some homeschooling Canadian bloggers that would have some recommendations.

As far as grammar goes, I have no idea, ha.
