    Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a website that can teach how to make baskets? I would love to try this, but I don’t know how. Plus, I’m going to be using “Genesis Through Deuteronomy” beginning in the fall and I thought that when we get to Moses it would be fun to try to make a basket that can float on water. If anyone can help, please do so. Talk to you soon. 🙂 God Bless everyone!

I know that our parks dept. did a class during the summer last year. Perhaps that would be one resource to look into.

I have collected hand-woven baskets from many countries and cultures – Senegal, W. Africa, Haiti, and Dominica are a few. My favorites are from the island of Dominica and are woven by the Carib people group. I even have a waterproof one! I’m not sure if there are any instructions online, but you just gave me a great idea for when our family returns there next year. We’ll learn a new handicraft from the local people!

Great idea. I’ll check with our local Parks and Rec dept. Thanks. 🙂
