I am thrilled with my new purchase, an iPod Classic. The one I bought seven years ago got wrecked when I borrowed it out a couple years ago and I finally have a replacement and a new purpose. We are in the car a couple times a week and it’s so exciting to listen to audiobooks. Don’t need multiple CDs or tapes for one book or to use all the memory on my phone for one book. I don’t think I will ever fill up 160 GB of memory either. Love it! 🙂 Any suggestions for books or music? My daughters are 8 & 3.

Adventures in Odyessey and Life at the Pond are some of my kid’s favorite for Audio dramas. They’ve recently gotten into Lamplighter Theatre as well.  As for actual books, my daughter LOVES the Little house series.  I’m not sure if All of a kind Family is available on Audiobooks, but if it is, then I’d recommend that.  We’ve listened to The Little Princess, and loved it.  And all my kids love anything read by Jim Weiss.  My favorite is Old Yeller read by Jim Weiss.  We listened to Anne of Green Gables and loved it.

Check out librivox.org for free audio books. You might fill up that 160GB faster than you think!! 🙂
