A while back someone asked if we ever have sales on SCM products. Generally we don’t because we try to have reasonable prices all the time. But we just made an exception.
I saw this pop up in my reader and was amazed (and excited!). What a blessing for us and hopefully for SCM too! I’m letting some friends know about it.

I am very excited about the sale. Question….I am not very tech savy…can these downloads be read on Kindle?

The books are in PDF format, which can be loaded on a Kindle. However, you may find the type a bit small for the books that are 8.5″ x 11″ because it will shrink the page down to the screen size. You can turn your Kindle sideways so you have a greater width for larger type but you’ll then have to do more scrolling. I suggest downloading a couple of the free samples on the book pages and try them out to see how you like it.
If you need any help getting it working just let us know and tell us which Kindle model you have.
By the way, we do intend to start trickling out more of our exisiting books in Kindle and EPUB formats. (We’re not ready to say when yet because we’re waiting on software updates that are out of our control.) If you log in (you can use your forum login) when you purchase e-books, your purchases will be associated with your account. Then when we add more e-book formats you’ll be able to log back in and download the other versions at no additional charge.
The easiest way to see how they’ll look is downloading the samples for individual products and loading onto your kindle. That’s what I do!
How about the best way to do this sale with the picture study? I want to leep on that but don’t know how I will print the pictures so that it’s quality?
I am so torn! There is so much that I wouldn’t use, but so much that I would! There is half the curriculum needed for 6 or more years available here! What to do what to do!

Me too NJcountry! I have many of these great resources. Can’t wait for future ones that will be “funded” through this sale. 🙂
I am interested in buying the whole set. But I concerned that the first three guides are being revised. Will there be a way to update the guides? I know when Ancient Egypt and her Neighbors came out you gave a way to incorporate the new book with the current guide. I also understand that when you buy a book, you buy a specific edition and not all the future editions.
Do I have to download them all at once or will I be able to access them when I need them?
We’ll keep them backed up in your account and you can log in any time and download as few or as many as you like.
I have almost everything ever put out by SCM and have used the materials over the past six years. I paid regular price for my books/ebooks and would do it again in a heart beat. If you are on the fence about whether or not to take advantage of this sale, and you have the means and husband’s ok to buy :), then my recommendation is DO IT! I believe your home school will be blessed.
