Music Study

Get to know three great composers per year. Simply listen to the music of a composer at various times throughout the week. Tell children which composer you’re listening to. You could play the music in the vehicle while running errands or play it in the background during a meal. Then once a week, focus on one piece and learn more about it. Linger with the same composer for several weeks until the children become familiar with his style. Add a short biography into the mix, and your children will grow to enjoy and appreciate great music.

Our Music Study with the Masters portfolios make it simple to add enriching music study to your home school. Each portfolio includes two full-length albums of music by the composer and two living biographies to help you get to know the composer as a person.
