OK, I am sick about it, but nothing I can do now but move on. I SAT on my kindle this AM. It was on the couch, and I didn't see it. I am not a large person, but obviously my kindle was no match for me sitting upon it.
Are y'all done laughing???
So ... I instant messaged with Amazon and they will actually send me a new one for a significant discount, which I find quite nice since it is 2 1/2 years old. They offered me several models, including the Touch and Fire. I don't want the FIRE b/c it is yet another device one of my DC would be trying to get on and play mindless games upon. Nothing bad but just junk at lego.com or angry birds or some other nonsense.
I am leaning toward the Touch model, but the reviews are mixed.
I have the 2nd generation 3G wi-fi, but I'm thinking I don't really need 3G as I 95% of the time will buy books from my computer and download at home, where we have wi-fi anyway.
So, can anyone share which one you have ... keypad kindle or 3G or wi-fi or touch or any combo of those?
In the meantime, I was excited to figure out I can read (and our DC can read) our books from our MAC computer while I ponder this decision. I am just sick about it. I have also found you can buy replacement screens but I'm not sure that would be worth $50 and if DH could get it replaced, though he is very handy.
Any suggestions welcome. TIA
