I would probably ask 50%-60% of the new price if they are used.
I usually ask for about half, unless it is a very high demand/high value holding book, in which case I consider about two-thirds or three-fourths. I want to both earn a bit, AND bless another homeschooler, so this is what works for me--no real financial magic formula, just what seems reasonable!
For me it depends on the condition of the book, I try to be fair and as most of my books are in excellent condition, I usually go half or just over half price. Sometimes like Bookworm if a book is of real value then I will ask a little more. I too though get pleasure in blessing another family. I think look at the condition of your book and then decide.
Thank you ladies for your answers this blessed me! :)
I take into consideration the condition of the book, THEN what I paid for it. I buy most of our books used anyway, so if a book is still in great condition after using it, I don't mind selling it for what I paid for it. I usually sell on my blog too, so I also have to take media mail shipping into account.
