Seems silly compared to so many of your prayer requests, but our cat went missing yesterday. I am very worried about him. Please pray we find him safe and sound as soon as possible. Thanks, all!
MistyParticipantNot silly at all. I would be beside myself if I lost my dog. Prayers and wishes Misty
Rachel WhiteParticipantWe’re strong animal people here, too; so not silly.
Have you found the little one? I will pray.
SueParticipantI’m allergic to cats, but we’ll still pray for you. I remember how awful we all felt when our bird got sick and we all were thinking he might die….the Lord answered and he’s been just fine!
my3boysParticipantNot silly. If we lost our dog, it would be horrible. Hope you find her soon.
momto2blessingsParticipantJust prayed. Not silly at all. Our dog ran away from our dog sitter earlier this year and we were heartsick. We came home from vacation early and lost lots of $$ to look for him! Thankfully after 5 days somebody turned him into the pound and he’s just fine. Hope you find your cat very soon! Gina
Sara B.ParticipantStill no sign of our cat. Thank you for all your prayers. I’ve called all the vets, animal shelters, and animal control in the area. Nothing. Been on foot, in the car all over town, leaving food out for him. Today I plan to make flyers and print some photos, then we’ll head out canvassing the neighborhood. I cannot believe we haven’t found him yet… So unlike him to stay away from my dh for this long. He LOVES my hubby. They have a “thing,” ya know? So very sad and worried. If anyone else has any other tips or ideas, please let me know!
Sara B.ParticipantWe found our kitty!!! Actually, he found us… He walked up to our patio door where we were all eating breakfast and meowed to be let in. What a goof! He lost his collar, and he is a tiny bit skinnier, but seems OK otherwise. He’s headed to the vet in a little while to make sure. Thank you so much for your prayers! I am SO GLAD to have him back!
Kate Mom of 1ParticipantThank God! So glad to hear he’s safe 🙂
suzukimomParticipantGreat news! Glad to hear it.
I lost my dog once for almost a month. I had moved to a new city and hadn’t gotten her new tags yet. We checked everywhere – humane society, pound, dead animal pickup, the SPCA in the old city, etc. No news of her at all. Then one day my step-daughter went a different way home from school and found that she had been “adopted” into another family. They were sad to let her go (back to us). They hadn’t contacted anyone – had figured it was someone travelling (we lived near a fast-food place). Honestly I think the kids just wanted the dog and nobody bothered to call because really they should have called both the local dog pound and the old city pound….
momto2blessingsParticipantYeah, so glad you found him!!!!
Sara B.ParticipantVet says he looks good, although he may have thyroid issues (he’s been getting skinnier, and evidently his mousing skills are a little less than par…). We got him a couple shots and dewormed, just to be safe. So happy to have him back, but he is already begging for a romp outdoors again. 8-/ What a nut!
Suzukimom, oh, my, how terrible of them! That happened to us, too, when I was a kid. Our dog got off her chain, and eventually we found out some neighbors had her. Granted, we all had a lot of property at the time, so it wasn’t like she was right next door… I don’t know how much my parents tried to look for her. I was pretty young – maybe 8 or so? But when they found out, they didn’t bother trying to get her back, either. Again, I was so young, so I really don’t know the details – but I did, & still do on occasion, miss my dog. <sigh>
MistyParticipantGlad to hear this!
Katrina in AKParticipantGreat news!
