I got the flyer in my inbox this week! Is anyone planning on going? I was signed up last year, but had to cancel due to a last minute vacation conflict. Did anyone go last year? Is it worth attending?
TailorMadeParticipantWhat is it? I’m curious.

missceegeeParticipantMy friend and I went last year, flew all the way from Florida. It was an adventure to get there, but it was an enjoyable, productive time. She may go again as she has family nearby.

Sara B.ParticipantLast year was my first time going, and I loved it! I really hope to go again this year, even if I have to leave my hubby home this year.
Becca, the Living Education Retreat is a gathering of fellow CM’ers who get together to listen to some speakers who really know their Charlotte Mason and for us to get new ideas, feel recharged, and chat with other parents following CM’s philosophy. It’s set out on the prairie, and it’s so beautiful! Definitely worth it to go. It’s held in MN every year. If I wasn’t on my phone, I’d post a link. :-/
GinaMemberHello Ladies,
Our family is new to CM this year and we are loving it! I am interested in knowing more about the Living Education Retreat. Sara B. mentioned posting a link – when any of you have time I would love to more details about the retreat or info regarding a link for the event. Thank you!
simple homeMemberLast year I went to the Ambleside School program for an internship. I almost went to the retreat, but decided to use the airline costs for the actual school experience instead. ( as well as a mini vacation for our family:) I highly recommend the internship which is guided by education professionals that center around CM philosophy. Very fun and insightful!
missceegeeParticipantSimple Home, I was up in the air between the two and chose LER because it wasn’t the school experience and I thought I would be more pertinent to me. However, I’d love to know more about how it went. Feel free to PM me. Thanks.
simple homeMemberChristie, I’m happy to share my experience. I’ll email you later tonight.
RebekahyParticipantOh, this sounds wonderful! I so want to go! I’m searching all around the internet for prices/dates, but can’t find any… can you ladies give me a general idea of about how much it costs?
TiaParticipantThe email I received said they weren’t advertising publicly until March 1st. I got the info via email because i was registered last year and ended up on the email loop. The price is $100 and a room is $30 per night. It’s $180 for a couple.
I’m excited about possibly going this year!
GinaMemberWhere is the event?
TiaParticipantIt’s located here in Minnesota:
RebekahyParticipant3littlegirls… if you still live where I think you live, we could carpool – I’m on your way!
jeaninpaParticipantWhat are the dates for this? We’re going to be in MN in late June and I’d love to go.
TiaParticipantRebekahy – Where are you? PM me!
jeaninpa – Aug 10 and 11
