After almost 10 years of homeschooling I ditched my pre-packed curriculum last week. I was soooo tired of it. The kids were bored and tired of the worksheets. I can't tell you how refreshed I feel. I am reading books that I want to read to my children and choosing the activites that I want to do with the kids. Yeah!
I just had to share :)

I have an entire stack of curriculum to sell too. It's taken me that long also to let go of a few subjects, but after finding this site this year, even the textbook style English is in the get rid of pile! I know how you feel! :o) Hurray for you

Pink ~ I recognize you from the boxed curriculum forum.
Yay for you and you will be blessed with such fluidity and organic goodness to your days! I can attest. Enjoy!Posted 1 year ago # Report Post -
Hey erin.kate...small world :) The other curriculum actually fit really well for a certain time in my life and I still love certain aspects of it. I did find that I was always tweeking things. In general, I just march to the beat of my own drum...CM has given me a good framework, yet ability to do more of what I want with my homeschool. I can't wait for fall!!

It fit us really sweetly too for a season, but wholly CM is endlessly better in millions of layered ways. Have fun!
