Does anyone know of a way to edit existing resources? I keep running into this problem. Some divisions are incorrect or there aren’t enough. For instance, we’re working on “When We Were Young”, a poetry book. We read one poem a day and I like to keep track of which ones we’ve read. The resource is entered in the Bookfinder with 1 division, so I have the choice of scheduling many, MANY instances of this book, or what I have been doing, which is putting the date & poem title in the NOTES section. I just keep selecting “worked on” & adding to that same note until we’ve finished the book. That makes for lots of extra pages in the daily print out though.

Does someone have a better solution?

That feature is on our to-do list, gr8tfulCMmom. I can see how it would really be helpful! In the meantime, two ideas come to mind as possibilities for you:

    1) If you see a resource with only one division (especially a poetry resource), please send me an e-mail and let me know. Somewhere along the way as we were entering resources, we changed the way we were entering the poetry books. I went back and tried to fix them all, but evidently missed some. Thanks for letting me know about When We Were Very Young! I’ll go add several more divisions to it.

    2) It might save you some extra pages and give you more detail if you add your own resource by the same name (“When We Were Very Young”) , call the Division Type “poem,” and add several numbered divisions — however many poems you plan to use from that book. On the Daily Plan it will show up as “Read together poem 1.” Then you can add a note with the title of the poem you selected that day. You can check it off as Finished, and poem 2 will pop up for next time.

Hope this helps! (Off to change WWWVY now . . .)
