Anyone else use Chalkdust Math here. We just switched to it for upper grades from Life with Fred. We use Math U See for lower grades. Just found that once you got to Life with Fred beginning alg. That is slowed to very very slow and yes they may conquer the question but not after lots of questions an lots of time spent and really did they learn. Thought Chalkdust was the inbetween of both worlds. The formula practice of Math U See but also the challenege of the abstract and real life of Life with Fred. Hubby thougth even more so.
But how do you use it and stay CM style?
How much time does each child spend a day in it?
I am trying to do more CM approach. But can you get away with just 45 mins a day and still get it all down or even done early???
I know you are suppose to do just the odds but wow that is to much too--- not?
How much does you child do?
And what about all the example questions too.
And the different parts.
I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
How do they watch the video - it in itself can take your whole time.
I and to simplify school but at the same time the children want to get their math done and complete school (like graduate early) so they can get onto life and business.

Lots seems similar in many of the texts like repeating.
