Just wanted to do a little asking and searching to find other homeschoolers doing the Charlotte Mason Method that live in SC! Sure would love to link up with those or atleast know others are doing this method that live in SC. I am with the group called REACH and there are but a few doing this method. It can feel a little lonely!
Any homeschoolers here from South Carolina?

I'm also from Upstate SC. I've never of REACH but there is a new CM Co-Op (Skylark) starting up close to our area and next year hubby and I plan on trying to start another one but going in a different direction with it. I hope you do find someone close to you.

I'm mostly A lurker here... But we are in Cola and with REACH as well. There are a ton of CM HS in the area, but most if them are with the smaller groups. I have a 10 yo dd, and for the last 3 years I ran a CM co-op that met at Harbison Forest. (not doing it this year)
How old are your kids?Posted 9 months ago # Report Post -
Palmetto Homeschoolers yahoo group is a free support group. I prefer them to REACH, as a lot of them are CM ers, and they do quite a bit of field trips as well.

spoutygirl,
I didn't know much about palmetto homeschoolers! Will have to look into that. Most of the christian homeschoolers here do Abeka or something along that line....usually some kind of text book based curriculum. I so feel like a black sheep in our homeschooling community. I have run into a few doing waldorf and CM so hopefully something will turn out for me!

we just moved to upstate SC ... we joined palmetto state of association of homeschoolers.
I also looked into joining skylark, as i saw an email on UCHU, but was too late (although they did say the mom meetings were open).
other than the email group & association we haven't made any connections ... so I'd love to see if there's anyone close by. we're in the Spartanburg-ish area.
