I was in a hurry this morning and thought maybe I should come back with some "real" info. :) I am no history buff, although I enjoy history immensely. From what I can tell, these books are historically accurate. They present many major historical characters and events and really draw you into the time period. My dd (9 at the time, as I mentioned previously) read these to herself, but they would make great read-alouds. I think that at least some of them are great for boys, as well. I cannot remember specifically which stories, but at least one or two in American Dream feature both a girl AND a boy as the main characters. We are getting ready to do American History using Truthquest and SCM this year, and I was thinking as I read these earlier this summer how great they would be to read during our studies! Hope this helps!

My dd10 (9 at the time) and I have read American Dream and American Challenge. We love them. I couldn't put them down! We read them for pure leisure but will be studying American History this year and my just read through them again!

Just saw these books at the library. They look decent but wanted to ask for opinions. Anyone care to share?

Thanks!
