If anyone tries to go to my link, it doesn't exist anymore. I know that I started this thread, and I hope you all continue to share ideas. However, I have become so bogged down with internet usage that it has become a major source of negativity in my life. I deleted my facebook account and am limiting my blogging. There are several factors that have made me decide to do this, but my sanity is #1 :)

This is not a link to a blog or a review of our week, but I really want to share my daughter's "review" of our SCM school year:

At church tonight, I was talking to different kids about how school is going.  (Out of the 13 students in the class my husband and I lead, 4 different schools are represented and 3 homeschools!)  Anyways, there was a comment that it was boring!  My daughter chimed in and said "Boring!  School is fun this year!"  To which, a few of the others replied that of course it was fun for her because she's homeschooled!  I smiled.  This is our first year following CM style and method.  We actually do a lot.  BUT, yes, it is mostly "fun!"  Hope that encourages someone else!

OK, you ladies inspired me to start blogging again.  It had been nearly a year since my last post, and then I was already dwindling on how frequently I posted.  So, I am playing a little catch-up with our homeschooling and just updating what we are doing for the year and our first day of school that was July 1.  My blog actually started as journaling about the kids to update friends and family we don't see frequently, so it is a bit of a mix.  And my header is old too.  My newborn baby in the photo is now 2 y/o!  I guess I should update that too.

Oh! This motivated me to make the jump and re-start my blog. ;-) I've been thinking about it as a journal of sorts, as I used to have blog, web pages and all kinds of online connections in various places. That has dropped off a ton now that we have the little kidlets, but I think this Mama needs the time too.

I've recently started a blog too.  I want to make a record what we are doing for school, mostly for my own benefit so I can look back and see what we did and when we did it.  I'm hopeless at writing a paper journal, so I'm hoping this will work out well.

MamaWebb: Yours is one of the most honest and humorous blogs I've read in a long time. I loved the post about where your kids where up on the roof of your garage. I would of been tempted to leave them up there too.

I only blog when the kids are down.  I probably should be doing more chores at that point, but my DS is VERY high-maintenance, and with him and a five-month-old, as well as some very stressful things going on in my life personally...well...I need the time.  So I am trying to carve out a couple of hours a week that I can spend time alone blogging. 

I like the idea of that being mother culture time!! :)

Blogging is like a hobby for me. I enjoy it, and I consider it my "mother culture" time :) I can be creative with my picture editing, and I try to be encouraging and helpful to others as I post things too. 

I don't watch tv, my cell phone is ancient (no texting abilities), but I do blog, and I have a facebook account too. I try to use technology as a tool to encourage others....not so much as a tool for my own social needs (which I don't really have since I am a full fledged introvert :)

@Hana - I really hope things work out for you.

I have to laugh at the posts of not doing anything techy...I don't even text. =)  I did start a blog to record our school journey, share recipes with my family, and generally keep my family and friends in the loop.  We aren't close to any of them anymore (physically).  

I agree with Hana.  This blogging thing is for me - and I am not sure that others are that thrilled with reading it. lol One of the ways I figure out what I want to do is by talking it out, and I can't talk it out as easily as I used too. Writing allows me to get the swirling thoughts out on paper, look at them, add or delete, polish them and figure out how I am feeling. I don't have a blog, facebook or twitter either. Thank goodness I am not alone. I thought that I was the only one. I do like reading blogs though. I do have a pinterest and I love it.
