@missceegee, Does that date reflect when you married, had first child, bought first book?? Just curious, as I love that idea.

My stamp reads, "Last Name Family Library, Established 1996" with a book in the center. 

I stamp every book I own. If I get rid of it, well the new owner can decide how to cover it.

@LDI, I plan to stamp/emboss the ones that I am for sure keeping (or plan to keep and loan). I need to weed out some books and gather some for the future, anyway.

Can't wait to get one!

Oh, that sounds like something I "need"! I have a coupon from Vistaprints for a free stamper I think. Need to look at that. I would just have to pay shipping. I wonder which way would be cheaper.

What do you do with those books you might not keep? I guess you don't stamp until you're sure it is a keeper!

@Christie, thank you. I kind of thought that may be your reasoning, but didn't want to assume. I think I will pick the stamp for now, as I don't have many "high dollar" books, yet, but we're getting there.

OK, I'm not sure I understand. What does the stamp say? I think I missed a previous thread. I love stamps though! And books!

I emboss my Lamplighters and other high quality books - leather bound type books. I stamp e rest. The stamp is easier to see and read, but I like he embossing on the others. If I were picking one though, I'd pick the stamp.

My stamp says x-stamper. I'll have to check my embosser. I think hubby bought them at a local shop Holmes stamp co. They both are great.

I just went to my local office supply store and ordered one.  I'm running out now but I'll check later to see if there's a name on it.  I would love to have a stamp with bigger print.  Mine is small and gets lost on some title pages.

Do either of you have a brand name for your book stamp/embosser??
