Thank you ladies!

artcmom-I just looked at Precept's and noticed I have Digging Up the Past-LOL! I didn't realize Kay Arthur was affiliated with Precepts:) Guess I'll have to track down the book and check it out (we've never so much as cracked it open)

erin.kate-I looked at the Queen Bible Studys a couple of weeks ago. It's sort of hard to tell my samples what the study is really like. Thank you for posting your opinion on them. They sure look lovely.

My 3rd and 1st graders are doing a couple Queen Bible Studies this year ... A Virtuous Girl and A Humble Heart. We've also used Queen for family studies ... Walk with me to Calvary, etc., and they are excellent. They have many personal and family studies to choose from.

My children are a bit young for these studies (geared for ages 8-12), but I have heard great things about Precept's studies for kids. Our church does them with the older kids during Wed. morning Bible study for the women. They are very meaty, not watered down, and there is a fair amount of work to do each week.

If the kids' studies are anything like the adult studies there is plenty of narration built in the lessons. Their philosophy is that you will learn to discover what God's Word says for yourself.

We've never really stuck with a Bible program as I find that most of them are teaching Bible Stories with facts/fill in the blanks. I would like more of a heart/character study to do with my son. We have used BSFAA and while it's a lovely program-it's just not what I'm looking for.

We did enjoy Big Truths for Little Kids (only used it for a bit), but I don't know if this is enough.

Any recommendations?
