You can do it! Build your own weekly schedule and use it for a term. Then build a different weekly schedule for the next term. Here are the main components to include:
Family Subjects to distribute across the days — you decide how often and which days: Scripture Memory, History, Bible, Hymn Study, Literature, Poetry, Nature Study, Music Study, Drawing, Geography.
Independent/Mother-Guided Subjects to plug in for each student — you decide how often and which days:
- Grades 1–3: Copywork, Math, English for the Thoughtful Child (Gr, 2, 3), Beginning Reading (Gr. 1, 2), Personal Development
- Grades 4–6: Math, Dictation, Grammar, Science, Typing, Assigned Reading
- Grades 7–12: Math, Science, Grammar, Dictation, Assigned Reading
Additional Subjects to insert as desired, either as Independent or Family work: Foreign Language, Handicrafts/Life Skills, Music Lessons/practice, Shakespeare.
