Our regular readers know that we try to keep a good balance between teaching posts and site announcements. Today, we’re excited to let you know about a new book we have available. And next week we will have a post on ideas for finding living books.

Many of you have told us how much you’ve enjoyed using our family study handbook on creation, 106 Days of Creation Studies. We’re pleased any time we can suggest ways for you to teach all your children together. It saves so much time, encourages family unity, and promotes the one-room schoolhouse effect.

And now you can teach Ancient Egypt that way too. Our new family study handbook, Genesis through Deuteronomy & Ancient Egypt, uses the same helpful format. It details how you can teach all your students, grades 1-12, the same history time period with an emphasis on how Bible events fit into world history events. The lesson plans include living book suggestions, Scripture passages, narration ideas, Book of Centuries entries, geography map drill, additional assignments for the older children, and optional hands-on activities.
